Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is Permanent/Fused Jewelry?Simply put, it is custom fit jewelry without a clasp. It is welded together with a small flash so it stays on until you're ready to remove it. Because the jewelry is welded, it does not have a clasp and will stay on "permanently". Mix and match your chains, charms and connectors for the most personalized jewelry experience on the market. Stack necklaces and bracelets to match your own unique style.
-
What is gold filled jewelry?Gold-filled jewelry has a solid layer of gold that is bonded to a base of a stronger metal, such as sterling silver or copper. This allows a lower price point than solid gold, while being much more durable. Gold filled jewelry will not tarnish, and can stay looking shiny and new even with decades of wear. The gold layer is over 100x thicker than gold plated jewelry.
-
Where can I place my jewelry? We offer bracelets, necklaces, anklets and rings and belly chains.
-
What if my jewelry breaks? This is handled on a case by case basis. Breaks at the weld are fixed for free, breaks on the chain can be repaired if possible for a $25 fee.
-
Can I bring a friend to my appointment?Absolutely! We’re a company that thrives on making lasting memories for you and your friends and loved ones. This jewelry is great on its own- but having matching ones creates special bonds.
-
What if I need to remove my jewelry for an MRI or surgery?Cut it at the jump ring (weld location) with scissors or wire cutters. Or come on by and we can do it for you. We can weld it back on for you when you’re ready!
-
Does it hurt? Is it safe?It doesn’t hurt at all and is completely safe! The certain welder that we use only flashes when it touches metal. No sparks will touch or get close to your skin.
-
How do I care for my jewelry?Dawn dish soap and a soft toothbrush for regular maintenance
-
Do you offer private parties?Yes! For parties of 5+ with incentive for the host.
-
Will my jewelry tarnish or change color? Our gold jewelry is gold filled, which is like gold plated on steroids. The coating is over 100x thicker than gold plated. Sterling silver can temporarily tarnish due to chlorine, sulphur, bleach chemicals etc. A silver cleaning wipe will take it right off. As does toothpaste and a toothbrush or baking soda.
